This whole weight thing might have been a misunderstanding

I was hard on Broner yesterday, thinking he just didn't give a fuck about making weight and disrespected his opponent but apparently Broner's team told Escobedo's team that he wasn't gonna make the 130lb limit and Escobedo said fine but you have to come in below 135, which Broner did. Escobedo came in at 130 so he could fight for the title. Then Escobedo's team said Broner can't put on more than 10 lbs between the weigh-in friday afternoon and the second weigh-in saturday morning. Broner apparently thought it was 10 lbs from his 133.5 weight, that's why he came in at 143.5, but Escobedo's team meant 10 lbs from the 130 lbs limit so 140.

If Broner didn't give a fuck why would he show up for the 2nd weigh-in and come in exactly 10 lbs over his 133.5 lbs weight?

I think it was just a misunderstanding and I'm no fan of Broner.

Nah, its just b.s on broners part.

When you say you are just a growing boy and its hard it make weight thats one thing, but when you are tweeting pics of all the crap you are eating thats a whole nother. He didnt even try to make weight.

And id be willing to bet that it was made perfectly clear to broner to not come above 10 lbs of the limit, but broner decided he could do whatever he wanted.

The second part I see how it can be a misunderstanding, but the first part I don't think so

That Broner called Escobedo and told them he wasn't gonna make the 130lb limit? Why is that hard to believe? Has Escobedo's team denied it?

If he could do whatever he wanted then why come in exactly 10 lbs over his friday weight?

I see you fell into HBO's commentating trap. You do know they just said that for people to justify Broner's action right?

When did team broner inform team escobedo that they would not be able to make weight? It is believable if team broner told team escobedo minutes before the actual weigh-in but if it was said days ago I am sure the media would have found out.

Probably just thought he could pull another quick one. I have no reason to believe broner. Id be willing to bet it was made perfectly clear to not come above 10lbs of the contractually agreed weight of 130.

HBO threw the bait and you took it. I'm sure you're not the only one tho. Now this is whats gonna spread around and people are gonna "forgive" Broner. Tsk tsk

Ok so explain why Broner made sure he only rehydrated exactly 10 lbs for the second weigh-in. If he didn't give a fuck why would he do that? It's a pain in the ass.
