if it meant keeping my job (and in broners case, the right to return to HBO,) yes.

HBO would have been thoroughly screwed if broner were unable to fight in the main event last night. the omar figueroa fight did not look like an HBO fight from the highlights we saw. they keep a very high standard, even for boxing after dark. it's very possible that they would have completely cancelled the card. they were discussing it. that's horrible for business, which i'm sure you know. that would leave a horrid taste in their mouths from broner. they'd probably turn their backs on the kid for a period of time. they're clearly pushing him to become a star. all of that would have been over. missing weight honestly doesn't really ruin HBO's day. ruining the card ruins their day. they would lose / spend poorly hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Lol...I don't know where they get these ideas. HBO rejected Paul Williams vs Ishida and forced the fight with Erislandy Lara.

But Haymon can get them to do whatever he wants to right?

anybody who gives a rat's as about what Karceno says, should log off immediately. anybody who knows Karceno knows he is the biggest phony ever. on youtube everybody knows he is a wannabe reporter and the number one mayweather fanboy. 99 % of what he says is bullsh#t and he just whores for attention. nothing more.

Like I said before, Broner is not easily replaceable and much greater sins have been glossed over in boxing also it would only be his first strike.

Talent has say and you always take care of the talent because talent is needed but also temperamental so pushing to hard would have caused him to not fight, they had to walk a fine line and not paying Broner doesn't make the fight come off~
