It's a pain hearing Golden Boy openly say the winner of this fight and Guerrero-Aydin would be front runners for the second 2012 Mayweather sweepstakes.

of course Canelo wants to face Mayweather. The payday alone would be enough motivation for anyone

**but I'd figure Floyd can find better opponents down at Welter

They were saying this for Floyd's May 2012 fight too, and what did Floyd say???

"I don't even know who "the Ghost" is". "Canelo is a good young fighter but he needs more experience".

And he fought Cotto at 154. Just stop it.

Canelo did try to fight Kirkland, and Kirkland claimed injury then try to ask for more money, so hard to blame Canelo for that. Canelo was going to face Paul Williams till Williams got into a horrible accident. I was never in favor Canelo vs Ortiz but Golden Boy does not take my consideration into account, and is probably smart of them not to. I cannot be upset at Canelo for circumstances he cannot control but it seems like a setup to have a fight with Josesito Lopez, who had only one fight at welterweight. But i will say not to count out Lopez, cause i think he has a chance for another upset.

pretty much anyone from 140-154 vs Mayweather isnt much of a fight IMO. Its just a display of skill...nobody is anywhere near his skill level from 140-154. I basically am entertained about the idea just to see HOW floyd dissects and defeats them

on a serious note, you know who i like to see making money?
henry ramirez, lopez trainer and the trainer of arreola. he's a good guy.

also, on another serious note, i see that many of you have gotten on canelo for his opposition, and for good reason.

do you think he's not a good fighter?

LAWLZ at the first thing you said. And, yes, I agree, Ramirez is an OG. I really like the dude.

I think this fight is a definite possibility for May of 2013.

Especially if Canelo get's a big win in the process.

I think ginger is as good at 154 as my bwoy Brooks is at 147. The difference being we all readily know that Brooks is about ready to get his feet wet with the big bwoys, while ginger is called a champion.

He doesn't deserve a shot at Mayweather but he'll probably get it next due to his drawing power. He has the skill to compete but hasn't proved it against elite opposition.
