Escobedo is the #1 contender and worked hard to get to that spot. Taking an L and losing his title shot to a guy that came in a weigh class above the one he did would be really ******. A lot of guys would just let HBO pressure him, Broner did not even try to make weight!

Escobedo is still the #1 contender tomorrow and will still get a shot, probably for Broner's vacant title, if he doesn't go through with this farce of a fight.
