He should lose some money for going over the contracted weight, just like Rios vs Murray.... this is a lot worse though as Broner doesn't even care and is already rehydrating.

Morales explains why he didn't attempt to shed and re-weigh for Garcia:
“I was in position to save the fight or the belt, but it’s more important to save the fight. If I tried to make the weight by taking off those two pounds it would have really affected me in the fight.”Comment

he actually said that this was his very last fight at 130.........he will no longer be fighting at this weight. (he said it in the press conference)Houston we have a problem! lol Messed up. We all know he's moving up but he didn't say he was moving up in weight before the fight!
Talking about disrespectful... He has certainly learned the ropes on getting people to pay attention to him! This kid will make a lot of money if he keeps on winning. No doubt about it. No doubt about it..... Hopefully they fine him.
i can post a link if you'd like.Comment

Because this is a fight between 2 guys, not just about Broner. Yeah, Broner can be lazy and just care for himself, but he's going to get a completely unfair advantage against a guy who actually trained and made a diet in order to make the weight limit.
People can get hurt because of crap like this, a guy who's one or two divisions above could seriously hurt a smaller guy. There's a reason boxing is divided in weight classes.Last edited by vacon04; 07-20-2012, 02:50 PM.Comment

I've never wanted a person to lose or get KO'd as much as i do Broner right now.
It's a good job Broner is no known puncher, 3.5 pounds over at a weigh in for 130lbs is no joke. Someone could get seriously injured.
Come on Escobedo, shock the world son.Comment
