Great advice. Good thing Escobedo doesnt have you as a manager. Broners HBOs new baby so that means Escobedo better play ball. He might not ever get offered an HBO fight again if he goes kicking and screaming. At least never a main event. His best play is to take the fight.

That's not racist IMO......we all know Mexicans like burritos.....go to any Mexican restaurant and you will see a burrito on the menu. Its stereotypical but not racist...Source: http://www.boxingscene.com/broner-pe...t-louis--47069

By looking at the video, Broner came down as low in weight as he possibly could, he looks utterly ripped to the bone. Do people seriously think he did this on purpose? Also, losing 3.5lbs in that short amount of time could seriously hurt you. Not to mention, why wasn't everyone as up in arms as they are now when Rios came in overweight BACK TO BACK, and Morales came in overweight and ADMITTED he did it intentionally. Everyone made excuses for Rios.
I love the double standards on this forum. I'm not trying to defend a mistake made by Broner, but people are just hilarious on this forum. Not to mention, Escobedo has been a big lightweight the vast majority of his career up until his last three fights where he's been campaigning at 130, so it's not like he's going much smaller then Broner. 3.5 lbs won't make much of a difference at all, and Broner's been saying this is his last fight at 130.
That being said, if he had problems making the weight his team should have spoke up unless they didn't weigh him beforehand. Either way, on fight night they should be re-hydrated to a roughly equal weight because Escobedo is a big guy himself for this weight. This fight should have been made at lightweight to begin with, I think both guys would of probably been more comfortable, but now we have this unfortunate situation.
So you want the WBO junior lighweight title fight fought at lightweight?

No sh1.t!
But according to E, looks like Broner's not even making any effort on the new proposal, haven't heard from his team. Looks like he's treating this one as a "take it or leave it" thing, despite the impending lawsuits and contract breaches (if there are any in clauses) if the fight don't happen.Comment

You can't expect posters to give Broner anything but crap since they do not like his image to begin with. But Broner might get some if he atleast tried to lose weight.Comment

The thing here is that Escobedo actually made an effort to make weight, he had to drink very little water and eat very little for the past week, so that actually is going to affect his performance on fight night. So even if they're both around the same size (which I don't think they would, I still think Broner would be even bigger) Broner would still have an advantage.By looking at the video, Broner came down as low in weight as he possibly could, he looks utterly ripped to the bone. The main problem here is not that Broner is at his minimum weight, but that he signed a 130 fight when he couldn't make that weight anymore. You can't make 130? Then just don't fight at 130, period.Comment

I don't agree that his comments are racist. You and MANIAC seem to be running with that because you don't like how he self promotes.Originally posted by PrimeraYeah forget the racism, the weight issue will hurt his image.

Besides, the issue is his making weight.Comment
