no way this fight happens. vanes turned down more lucrative fights against easier opponents. why would he take this fight now? you don't duck everyone for years to suddenly pop out and fight the most dangerous guy in the division.

Yeah, GBP's purse bid is laughable too.

Lara is with Al Haymon now so Lara might just pull out of the fight, very similar to another Al Haymon fighter Gary Russell jr, who pulled out against Luis Franco.

Golden Boy will do whatever it takes to protect Canelo and honestly I don't think he'd be able to beat either of these guys. it wouldn't suprise me if they sabotage the fight. it would give the WBC an excuse to begin new eliminators to find a mandatory for Canelo, all the while Canelo can totally clean out the junior welterweight and welterweight divisons.

maybe he'll even give Archie Solis another crack at him, while he's waiting for a mandatory. Solis is a warrior so the 46lbs and 11 weight divison difference shouldn't be a factor. Richard Schaefer will sell as the fight of the century.

let's not forget Canelo's got beef with Juan Manuel Maquez too, smaller and older, just the kind of fighters Canelo likes.

Maybe he feels he has something to prove now.

At least there is a hope from yet. Everyone is up for their games. The real fighters are the promoters.

Well if Lara & his team pull out, hopefully no one finds a way to try & blame Vanes & arum.

This is not a GBP/TR co-promotion. The reason it happened was because the fighters were ordered to fight by the WBC, so they had a bid for the rights to promote the fight.

GBP-TR boycott very much in effect.
