Vanes has skills, he can box, he has pedigree. It's not going to be all one way. If Molina was a problem for Lara, Vanes can be one too. Vanes tends to get hit more when he stops moving on his feet, so he needs to be in shape. His eyebrows don't look good either, so he doesn't need a shootout. It's not a guaranteed win for Lara, Vanes has fought Cubans before. Pro experience is heavy on Vanes side also.

If he gets immediate title shot insted of Vanes fight, then no, I won't blame him. If he rejects the fight and gets title in couple fights from now, what I'm sure he will, then I consider it a duck. And what a shame that would be to duck ultimate ducker?

Indeed, it would disappoint me to say the least.

I truly hope this fight goes through. If Lara wins he'll claim a nice scalp and take a much needed step forward in his career. It'll be particularly nice if they can make this fight on the undercard of a big PPV. I've got my fingers crossed....

Will believe it when I see it. GBP pulled Russell Jr out of his fight when they lost the purse bid. So I wouldn't be suprised to see them do it again.
