Can't really disagree with that too much.

I suggest Frankie Bruno read up on his British Boxing history pre 1980.

And what age was Calzaghe? 25? no, late thirties. As I said, US venue, US ref, THREE US judges and Calzaghe still won.

It's funny you talk up Dawson's win when he fought a 47 year old B-Hop at the age of 29.

B-Hop went on to beat Pavlik and Pascal. Kessler went on to beat Froch and Green.

It is what it is, suck it up.

He's a troll, he trolls all the British fighter threads and this is just another one.

Jimmy Wilde continues to be one of the most overrated fighters of all time.

You could argue Jimmy Wilde has a weaker resume than Amir Khan, to be honest.

Numbers yeah, but loads of fighters have good numbers.

Len Wickwar had over 350 wins. But he literally beat no one of note.

Wilde had lots of wins but who did he beat? His resume is poor.

How can someone possibly have Jimmy Wilde above Lennox Lewis? Or even Carl Froch? Ricky Hatton?

Let alone guys like Fitzsimmons and McLarnin.

I don't rate Villa highly either. Definitely more so than Wilde though for sure.

lennox lewis ruined heavyweight boxing that's why!!!!!!!!

100 ko's and mighty atom was a cool nickname.

villa died at 23 though. so he has some excuse.

fitz not getting any love. MW, LHW and HW champ is impressive no matter the era.
