Comments Thread For: Froch: Khan Must Adjust, Punch Resistance Not Good

IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch has advised junior welterweight boxer Amir Khan to switch up his style. Froch feels Khan, at 25-years-old, has the ability to get his career back on track, as he did once before when Breidis Prescott knocked Khan out in the first round in 2008.

Problem is that Khan caters to the boxing so called fans

after kotelnic and most of madaina, people were like all khan does is jab, hit and run. when the idiot khan listens and changes his style, he gets knocked out, then the same people jump on him saying he is an idiot for not fighting at range using his jab with his old style

The only reason froch is saying this is because his PR Team told him to do so. He was the first person to say khan should quit after getting KO'd twice, haye who is friends of both khan and froch turned round to the press and said those people talking of khan retiring need to look at lennox Lewis and wladimir klitschkos careers, then others in the British circuit turned on froch saying that even journeyman have careers, gatekeepers have careers etc. Froch is just jealous that he can't get the same amount of publicity, recognition or fame, he just fails to realize its because of this jealousy towards other fighters he isn't getting the sort of publicity and following that calzaghe, hatton and Khan get.

But also the absolute truth is that he is saying what he is saying now it's only beause he hinted Khan to quit then...))

When you have a jaw made of adamantium, it's real easy to state the obvious.

Great Advise from Froch, but he should have said it from the beginning. I don't agree with the jealously stuff since Froch has built a great resume' but the criticism with the timing is warranted it think. Khan needs to get rid of Roach and find a more defensive minded trainer or at least one who will adjust to his strengths and weaknesses.

I dont even think khan got in a tear up. Its just he was countered, and that can happen at any point in a fight, even if khan boxes and plays safe there is the opportunity to be hit on the neck like that.

He just has to be less predictable when he attacks. and mix it up a bit, broken rhythm. When Garcia wasnt expecting to be attacked is when khan should attack.
