For doing what exactly? Him and Pac have been fighting the same level of competition except Manny knocks them out cold, puts them on the floor, or beats them in a one sided dramatic beatdown. He's retired two fighters.

For being rated the #1 fighter in the world for the best part of 13 years. Pacquiao gets to the top after Mayweather leaves the sport beats a few WW and suddenly Mayweather being #1 for all those years doesn't mean anything anymore. LOL

Calzaghe was rated #2 and would have inherited the #1 spot.

Any boxing fan that doesn't let hate cloud their judgement knows Mayweather should have got that award. He's been rated as one of the top 2 fighters in the world since 1999.

FOTY doesn't mean they were the best fighter in the world that year. A decade is 10 years Mayweather was rated #1 for 8 or 9 of those years it's a joke he didn't get it.

well FOTY means that you are the best p4p fighter that year and pac was the most dominat fighter those years...meaning he is the most dominat fighter that decade since he won it the most in that decade....

that's not true. he was number 1 3 years out of 10. also that doesn't mean much because he became #1 after beating gatti and went on a long string of easy fights to keep his #1 spot. pac's resume for the whole decade was better but he wasn't noticed as much as floyd. being popular does not equal being the best. mosley and pac were both #1 for 2 years out of the decade. i guess they are equals?
