I like Pacquiao as a fighter, but the De La Hoya fight was at a "catchweight" too, since Oscar had to move down to a weight he hadn't made in years just to sign the fight.

So before Bradley, these are the only two welterweights who Pacquiao fought at welterweight:

Shane Mosley - lost two previous fights before fighting Manny (bogus draw).
Joshua Clottey - lost fight against Miguel Cotto right before fighting Manny.

Not so impressive at welterweight...

Manny is fighter of the year, fighter of the decade, p4p champ but with all that said why is this so called p4p champ fighting Clottey coming off a loss, shane who couldn't even beat Mora, and margarita who got KO'd and coming off a year suspention? Justify those fights please. ATG..?

Is Manny even ranked #1 by any of the major outlets? Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN have Mayweather #1...Ring has nobody at #1...the only list I can think of that still has Manny #1 is Cliff Rold's list from on here.

Don't forget Manny only achieved #1 in the rankings from Floyd's retirement.

catcweights are in a contract..rehydration is within a fighters control, not his opponent's
