    Khan's Oficial Statememt!

I would like to thank all my fans and well wishers for the amazing support I've had from you since my defeat on Saturday night. Obviously the fight never went as planned but credit has to go to Danny Garcia who caught me with a good shot in the third round that I couldn't fully recover from.

I guess that's boxing, where one punch can change everything, it's the reason so many fans love the sport. Many fighters down the years have bounced back from defeat to prove their greatness and that's exactly what I intend to do.

I've never shirked any challenge or refused to fight anyone in my division even though it would have been easy for me to do so. Some may say that attitude is the wrong one to have but I've always wanted to please the fans and be involved in exciting fights because many of you pay good money to come and watch me, and it's only right that you get to see the best fighting the best, especially in an age when so many top fighters hand-pick opponents.

I'm going to spend the next few weeks relaxing during Ramadan and recharging my batteries after what was a 16 week training camp for me. I'll then sit down with my team to assess the options in front of me.

Well done to Danny Garcia on his performance, but I promise that I'll bounce back stronger than ever as I look to regain my spot at the top of the 140lb division.

    Amir Khan
From his twitter a few minutes ago. Looks like plans to hit 147 are out the window. But at least he hasn't come out with a dodgy excuse and given Danny his props. Can't help but feel the same **** will happen to him sooner or later. But being a UK fighter he'll still have my support.

Edit: lol Missed an f in official would appreciate if a mod could correct this

if he goes up to 147, theres a chance he might be able to take a better shot there than at 140. sounds weird, but it does happen. I just hope he switches trainers and learns defense otherwise his career will be short-lived...

Did he type ''I've never shirked any challenge or refused to fight anyone in my division'' with a straight face I wonder?
Forget trying to low-ball Bradley, or him even admitting he was scared too rematch Maidana, the fcuker is petrified of Breidis Prescott.

REMATCH PRESCOTT YOU FRAUD, YOU'VE GOT NO EXCUSES NOW!

His statement should read: I am firing Freddie Roach and going to train with roger/floyd sr. so I can learn how to use the advantages I have. Also, I am starting with a prescott rematch.

Anything else, I'm not too interested.

He stayed away from Prescott all these years (granted that Prescott never actually did anything) he'll do the same with Garcia. Matthysse will also KHTFO @ 140 plus maybe Alvardo. He's running out of options.

If Prescott did anything of note since whooping Khan, I think people would have a bigger point but he's done nothing.

I don't think people can complain too much about what he's said, doesn't look like he's going to make any rash decisions but he has to look for a new trainer now. That is a must.

Also the guy has to become more humble. He has to get it out of his head that he is one of the best P4P fighters in the world.

No point, Prescott would only flatten him again.
