    Coming back from defeat

Why is it that in Boxing that when someone loses they are seen as washed up..past it...never being good in the first place and never given hope again from the fans. As an example Khan lost the other day and now people say he needs to retire when he can still beat the majoroty of fighters in his weight class. Anderson Silva and Ali lost mote than once in a kinda close timeframe and look at their careers now.

Khan is a arrogant son of a gun but I honestly believe he will improve now. He has improved under roach but his defence is still shocking. His footwork and heaf movement are mediocre. He has great tools being the aggressive fighter but none when it comes to defending and grabbing the fighter. Instead of clinching he pushes them off.

He can comeback I think even though he hasnt got the strongest chin. He is only 25 and only has two REAL losses on his resume.

Ali & The Spider was not brutally ****d several times in their prime.
They also had a lot more going for them than just handspeed & good heart.

A mere con is done, lets face it, he'll go back to the U.K fight some absolute bum with zero power at all and the hypetrain will start all over again about he has improved this & that.

People need to realise he is B- level fighter with a D level defense and a F rated chin.

He should just rematch Prescott, get laced again & call it a day. Hes conned the general public out of enough millions as it is.

He can come back as a fighter, but he likely can't come back as a star. No matter how hard HBO will spin it, real fans will always be skeptical.

Khans only lost twice, don't know where you got several times from. He could do what Wladmir Klit did...he has a decent reach on him as well + he is bigger than most guys he fights. Obviously he'll have to adjust it a bit, people know Wladmir has a dodgy chin but they can't touch it.

He has lost 3 times but i do agree with you he is not done at all,and imo would starch Prescott in a rematch.

Even khan haters would admit khan will win important and big fights in the future, so why retire? Retiring just cos he may get ko'ed again one day isnt a good enough reason to retire.

Holyfield should retire, as he wont win the belt again and hes old. BH dont even need to retire just cos of his age as he can still do things, just like khan can, but khan is younger which is even more reason he shouldnt retire.

And to top it off, he plans to retire at 28 anyway, so hes in a win win situation.
