It's mind boggling that people think that Jr's dehydrating, protected, beneficiary of nepotism self poses a problem for Martinez merely because of his size, lol.

I guess people forgot about this fight that Sergio made look easy. Pictures better than words

In other words, it's not like Martinez isn't experienced in fighting guys that are bigger than him (that have more deserving resumes I might add than Jr also)

Junior doesn't have a snow ball's chance in hell in this fight. His level of opposition vs. Martinez is much weaker. He's a plodder (translation:SITTING DUCK) and most of all regarding his size. He'll probably drain himself trying to make weight when his punk azz should be fighting at 168lbs.

I'll be there when Martinez exposes this fraud.

Maravilla has always been one of my favorites in the sport and Jr.'s last fight impressed me...the cold war has began...the battle is brewing up to be very entertaining so far...I see them both hitting the canvas at least once...
        Maravilla wins!

I think it will be a good fight. I think it really depends on Chavez's chin and condtioning.

I'm not sure Chavez will be able to deal with the angles. everybody Chavez has fought just stood there in front of him. you know Chavez will get hit but how many times can he get hit.

plus Chavez has been complaining about leg cramps for the past few fights, how will Chavez hold up in the late rounds.

I think it's Chavez fight to win or lose but he needs to apply smart pressure and take advantage of Martinez's mistakes. if he fights the fight Macklin did against Martinez he should win.

but if he thinks he'll be able to eat Martinez's punches and bull him over I think he's going to get KOed pretty bad.

It took Martinez 11 rounds to finish Macklin off, and whos Macklin, never heard of the dude. Well everybody can say what they want come fight night everybody will see that Chavez has what it takes to give Martinez a very good and exciding fight, im not saying Martinez is no good, hes a very good fighter.
Chavez has impoved, and now im looking very foward to this fight, can't wait. styles make fight's and chavez has a style that can cause problems for Martinez also, but it all matter if Martinez can keep on running for 12 rounds, because chavez has a monster chin. we will find out come fight night. May the best man win...

I expect Martinez to win but I just hope people here (specially haters) don't cry about size diference in case Martinez looses. Pavlik was just as big, coming in @ 179 to 180 lbs. when he fought Martinez and in my opinion Pavlik has more power than Jr.,........so no excuses!!!!!!

Macklin is a tough, proud Irishman who just previously had gone the distance with top middleweight Felix Sturm & in majority of peoples eyes was robbed.
A very good Euro level/borderline world level fighter, a big, strong middleweight.

Chavez Jr has improved, no doubt but he isn't beating Sergio. If anything I see his bodypunching being his downfall. People are too high on him because he beat Lee who really is no better than Macklin, Dzinziruk, Barker, Williams & co

yes I also think Pavlik has a slight more power in his punch , but Chavez brings a lot of pressure and along with it a monster chin and works the body like no other middle weight in the sport, its going to be a very interesting come fight night.

Well anyways Chavez jr has improved and will be a very hard fight for Martinez as well because Chavez jr is going to keep smothering his ass and lets see how he likes pressure. Chavez jr has a very good chin to go along with his attack. I see Martinez running circles in that ring, if Martinez can handle Chavez body punches and constant pressure Martinez wins for sure.
Macklin was stepping back and boxing, Chavez will come straight at Martinez.
