You are right the Charr fight is a joke. But, as we all know Vitali came out of a long retirement and reclaimed his belt and defended it against mostly Ring top ten fighters. He is 41 years old, or soon to be, and what does he have to prove?Vitali doesn't need the fight, but he did go out of his way to call out Haye repeatedly after he said he wasn't happy with Wlad's win over him.
He said he wants to "send Haye to the floor" over and over in the press.
And Boente promised a Vitali fight to the winner of Haye vs Chisora.
So really, if they choose not to fight Haye now, they have made themselves look bad and can expect criticism for it.
What better way could Vitali go out than with a KO win over Haye? Only a win over Lewis would be better, and Lennox (as much as he'd like to) isn't coming back.
Manuel Charr just isn't going to cut it with anybody, not even Klitschko fans.
As far as Haye is concerned what will a Vitali win even do for his legacy? That he was able to beat a soon to be 42 fighter that is way past his prime? Haye was also the one that played a lot of games with the Klit bros. And in my opinion just maybe if Vitali blows him off Haye can simply have a taste of his own medicine.
And what happens if Haye doesn't get the Vitali fight? Will he just simply retire again? When he is obviously the fighter that has the most options between the two. And if Haye decides not to retire then maybe he will be forced to do what he should have already been doing. And that is to fight a couple of young and in their prime fighters to get another shot at a belt. Boy, wouldn't that be a novel idea?Comment

Going by achievements Haye>>>>>>>Vitali.Props to Haye for taking out Chisora. But realistically this is what happened. Haye just beat a fighter that was 15-3 and ranked 15th in the world. He just beat a fighter that was 1-3 in his last four fights. He just beat a fighter who's best win happens to have been over a really washed up Danny Williams. He just beat a fighter who happens to have lost to a pathetically overrated Tyson Fury. He just beat a fighter who lost to a way past his prime 40 year old fighter who was able to dominate him with one arm. And this is another dose of reality. If Vitali retired tomorrow he still will be elected into the Hall of Fame. So, in reality it is Haye who needs to fight and beat a soon to be 41 year old fighter who is way past his prime to legitimize his career. Not the other way around.
Haye.

By the way Haye kept taken a dive during the Wlad fight I thought he may have actually been missing an entire foot.BS...Vitali was injured against Chisora?...U mean how Haye was injured against Wlad?...Yea Im not buying it, Say what u want about Haye, but is toe was fuuuged up, I never seen a toe like that, and it could have been swollen and numb, it could have been swollen and sore, it could have been sensitive and felt like a needle was piercing thru it, we dont kno what that thang felt like, but Im not buying the vitali was injured thing at all...Chisora gave Vitali hell, and Haye DOMINATED, And KO'd chisora in 5 rounds, and he didnt even look shocked by his victory...he did it like it was easy, like it was just another day....Im rockin with Haye on this oneComment

I find it pretty damn funny that knocking out Dereck Chisora now means you're a feared, duckable heavyweight contender.
Who has Chisora beat to even be considered a top flight HW? Danny Williams?
Lets face it, the only reason he has any publicity or any "hype" is that he went the distance with a one armed Vitali instead of being KO'ed like most. Besides all the crazy, ******ed antics before and after the fight of course.
David Haye got his chance with Wlad, and he pussed out. Flopping around on the deck like a woman, then blaming a hang nail on his big toe as the reason for his lackluster performance. Because he beats a glorified soup can who was tailor made to him, lacks KO power in the HW division, doesn't know how to box (nevermind throw a straight punch to save his life) and is slower than a sloth in both hand speed and foot speed - Haye is all of a sudden a dangerous, feared HW that is ducked by a guy who has fought Arreola, Peter, Briggs, Solis, and everyone else relevant to this decade in the HW division?
I want Vitali to have Charr step aside as well, but lets face it, Haye had his chance in negotiating with Vitali well before he took this fight with Chisora, and never took it. Nor did he take it years ago. And because Vitali has moved on while Haye kept saying no, it's Vitali ducking him? Some people really hate the Klits that much I guess.Comment

Haye pulled out of a Vitali fight after announcing it on TV, so he can't be mad at Vitali for not wanting to fight him right now. The man already planned his last fight and post-boxing career. Haye should fight Povetkin and whoop the paper champ.Comment

Haye pulled out because he was offered much more money to fight Valuev and the WBA belt would give him some leverage with the Klits. This fight could have already been made but Vits did want to be reasonable and give up half the British PPV (Haye's market) after Haye agreed to all other terms. Now I may understand this a little more if Vitaly hadn't repeatedly said it was personal and not about money.Comment

Haye accepted the first contract offer before any of that Chisora business crossed anyones mind. Haye also said a couple of months ago he would fight Vitali in September after he had fought Chisora and before Charr was mentioned.Comment
