Khan touches the canvas around second 28 and the fight is restarted with only 9 seconds remaining on the clock, so Khan actually had 19 seconds to recover =/

I think Bayless did a good job on the first KO. It was Khan who was buying a few extra seconds for himself by walking up to Skip really slow, and then offering his gloves up in slow motion too. Once Khan finished his walk, Skip took the gloves quickly, wiped them, and bam... fight's back on! A ref has to let the guy walk to him to show he can stand on his own. There's no time limit for this.

And despite looking wobbly, Khan beat the first count by quite a few seconds, so Bayless had to give him the benefit of the doubt.

A 10 count is not supposed to be exactly 10 seconds, usually it's about 13 seconds.

SO what's the rule on that whole getting knocked down, and getting back up but kinda waddling backwards a bit? That's what I saw Khan do, I think he was looking for the ropes for leverage, but he was backing away pretty far.

You're on drugs. Kenny Bayless is a world class referee. He never makes mistakes and is completely fair.

Everyone makes mistakes, but I've never seen Bayless make an error in judgement worth mentioning. He could have let the fight go longer before stopping it, but he made the right call. Khan would have just taken needless punishment.

There was a punch, although it was a weak pushing-type arm punch from Mosley. Pacquiao had gotten himself off balance when he missed a punch of his own before that. The arm punch just made him tip over. The rule is if there's any kind of punch at all, it's a knockdown, even if being off balance or over a slippery area contributed to it.

Bayless was kind of forced to call it that way.

Couple of weeks ago on FNF Atlas chastised Joe Cortez for being one of those refs that likes the limelight and tries to make themselves a factor in the fight.

Bayless seems to be one of these as well.

If you a REAL boxing fan than you should know Kenny Bayless is #2 ref in the world after Steve Smoger....... They actually give fighters a chance to recover instead of ending it like all these other blind refs.

He isnt an attention wh0re like Joe Cortez who thinks the fight is all about him and gets it wrong.

There's VERY FEW fights where Bayless/Smoger make mistakes, they 99.9% get it right and give fighters a chance and give the crowd some more action.

ALL Ref's need to be like them. Instead we have fairweather fans like you who only watch 1-3 fights a year talking shieet.
