No trainer in the world would tell his fighter to drop their head, look at the ground and throw a hook because the trainer knows that would leave the fighter exposed to a blind punch. Even after the first knockdown, I still thought there was a good chance that Garcia was going to get knocked out because of those blind punches he was throwing. Garcia got lucky, nothing more.

Didn't you hear Garcia after the fight say that was part of the training? They worked on that move during training camp.

The guy is throwing a punch with every intention of hurting the opponent and it's called luck if he lands it? The thrown punch has the same intention regardless of the level of technique applied or even if done under a crude manner. How can it simply be called luck when it does the damage you intended it to do?

Also, what about the MMA fighters who throw reverse kicks. They turn their back on the opponent before pivoting around and throwing the kick.

idk why these guys are stressing the fact that Garcia wasn't looking when his punch connected, because Martinez wasn't looking when he KO'ed Williams in the 2nd fight. nobody made a big deal about it then, just because danny's the underdog i guess
