I doubt Holyfield has much problems. Maybe because of his tendency to fight to the level of opposition, but Haye isn't really a big guy with a good jab. Two of the guys who beat Holyfield had much better jabs than Haye and were simply much better (and bigger) fighters. Lewis and Bowe were 6'5 behemoths with 84" and 81" reaches, respectively, and fought in the 235-245 range. Not only that, but Bowe was a master in-fighter, well schooled by Eddie Futch, with a great workrate. Haye's workrate is horrible due to his stamina issues. Basically, Haye is a 6'3, 215 lb HW who fights like a stereotypical big man that rarely throws punches.

Moorer wasn't a big HW, but he was a pretty fundamentally sound fighter with a great southpaw jab. His combos were fairly crisp and short, the punches didn't travel far. And Holyfield was clearly having an off-night for whatever reason. Shoulder/heart/steroid or HGH side effects/weak legs from impregnating 3 women earlier that day.

Basically, the only chance Haye has is to land one of his counter rights, which is a tall order given Holyfield's chin and ability to rally when hurt. Holyfield has a big edge in chin and combination punching. Haye's combinations consist of 5 straight right hands to the back of his opponent's head.

Holyfield would work him hard. I think it would be entertaining because haye is pretty mobile compared to some of the flat footed guys in the heavier classes. But, make no mistake, Haye isn't in the same class as Evander.

              Ah, Haye vs Holyfield.

This would probably have been one of the most even and toughest match ups in fantasy fights.

              Both are highly skilled counterpunchers.

Both are equally big and strong, Haye is slightly longer.

Holyfield has the chin and a higher workrate over Haye.

Haye is much faster than Holyfield though and has a much harder punch.

Holyfield is a very good infighter where as Haye is excellent and landing ranged shots and getting out.

Holyfield will try to bull him whilst Haye will try to bomb him. It would be good.

I could make a very good case for Holyfield too, but since Haye is being underrated here I'll make it for Haye first.

Holyfield was beaten by and struggled with Moorer, an opponent Haye would simply knock straight out.

Haye could have easily clowned Foreman that Holyfield beat.

                Leads you to wonder.

And a 100 year old Holyfield beat a Valuev that Haye sc****d by and at times seemed afraid of.

There is no wondering here. Holyfield by late KO.

at Haye beating a 28 year old Holyfield.

He probably would not even beat a 38 year old Holyfield.
