Vitali Klitschko's Steroid Usage is unchecked

Why is it that it seems like boxing fans and sanctioning bodies ok'd Vitali's past use with steroids and well, suspended other fighters for doing the same thing.

You don't need to be an M.D. to know taking steroids makes you're injury prone. Vitali did just cancel a Rahman match up four times.

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko revealed in a new autobiography published by Random House Entertainment in Germany that he inadvertently used a banned steroid as an amateur. Klitscko wrote that he given a steroid prior to the 1996 Olympics to treat an injury, then was thrown off the Ukraine Olympic team after failing a drug test. The book, titled "Unter Brüdern," is co-written by Vitali and brother Wladimir Klitschko and details their life story to date. anybody that take steriods always try to blame somebody else or say it was unintentional.. his build is a build you can only get form steriods a huge upper body with no legs it dont make sense cuz squats raise your testosterone so he was one them much longer probably till he turned pro.."

It's old, no one cares. Vargas, Mosley, Roy, Klitschko(s), Toney, that guy who got killed by Foreman in the 70's...one never knows. Sometimes the boxer will say the doc prescribed it, sometimes they might have a legit excuse like they took something that makes the test positive (certain seeds, nasal sprays).

My overall opinion is, when it is blatant and there, they should be suspended or punished in some way (like Toney/Vargas).

Steroids users are usually way ahead of the testing procedures.

he got caught using Steroids and got kicked off the the olympic team. Then when both of them turned pros they get checked a lot for steroid use.

Why bring this up? He is retired, no one cares about the issue anymore. What are you going to investigate him for, he admited to doing it unknowingly. Give him a break.

If he used steroids, people should know. People should tear down his already water down career even further. Thats what they're doing with Barry Bonds in baseball and rightfull so.

Using steroids makes people question your accomplishments. Its apart of the game.

I dont think you can compare barry bonds and vital klitschko.. barry bonds is a blatant and now proven cheater. he used steroids for an extended period of time and passed it off as "i dont know, i thought it was flaxseed oil" vitali klitscko would have been crucified and probably banned for life if he had admitted as much as bonds, however lacks testing in baseball allowed him to do it without any risk. in boxing to be proven to have done what bonds did, even accidentally, would result in serious punishment.

vitali is much more honorable and morover honest than barry bonds could ever pretend to be. the fact that he admits so freely to that positive test shows that he has nothing to hide anymore. ill bet he has been tested 100 times since then and surely would have been caught if he were doping.

Vitali admitted using steroids and was applauded for his "honesty".

The thing is among the reasons that he'll never be investigated, I think the biggest reason is that the public already thinks he's a **** head and what will an investigation prove? Vitali isn't well liked as it is now and he didn't accomplish as much in boxing as Bonds has in baseball.

Nope... he testified in the Balco trial, but that was in America. Only one state away. Get your facts straight.
