Mayweather ducks pressure fighters that keep coming forward. While this may not fully describe Khan, Khan has the speed of a GOD and his jab would keep Floyd looking like an idiot doing shoulder rolls and getting tagged up over and over. Easy win for Khan, hopefully he doesn't get robbed.

I'm going to keep it real here, Khan is actually telling the truth. Stylistically, Khan has the style that could give Floyd trouble, those long arms that can get over the shoulder roll, along with a stiff jab, height and 4 5 punch combos.. just style wise Floyd hasn't fought anyone like Khan it a LOONG time, he is similar to a younger de la hoya. BUT ultimately, Khan would get little credit for beating a 36 yo floyd, it would be more about Floyd finally losing at 36! after 18 years! At the end of the day though I think Khan should stop talking about floyd, build his own name and focus on his own career because he's not gaining fans this way, if he fought floyd it will probably be a pro-floyd crowd something we haven't had since 2006, an Floyd would get a lot of props for defeating two young guns like Ortiz and Khan though if he pulled it off truly an all time great...

Floyds shoulder roll doesn't just move his head out of the way it also deflects punches away from the head. It doesn't matter how long Khans arms are, it's about timing....... and Khans timings sucks.
He does the same thing as Pacquiao: jumps in with his chin in the air and throws combinations. Pacquiao has been getting away with that because of his power. Khan doesn't have that power and so he would jump in at Floyd, throw 5-6 punches, land one if he was lucky and then be wide open to Floyds counter punches (probably the straight right). Floyd would fight on the back foot for 6 rounds, take him apart, wear him down and then look for the knockout in the 2nd half of the fight when Khan is out of ideas and enthusiasm.
Just my opinion but I don't think Khan has anywhere near the skill set to trouble Mayweather. People get excited about him because he does have exceptional speed but as Kell Brook said about Khan "everyone knows good timing beats good speed".

I don't think Khan can even make it through 12 rounds with guys like Victor Ortiz, Andre Berto, and I think Josesito Lopez has a shot at beating him too. I don't think he can beat Bradley or Alexander either.

Khan beating an old, 35 year old Mayweather is a long shot if I can't even see him really dominating any of the guys I mentioned. Cause I know the possibility of him winning one of those fights is there, but as far dominating any of those guys, I doubt it. But when it comes to Mayweather, forget it. He wouldn't be close to winning.

So I can see him beating Lopez in a tough fight, sort of like the Maidana fight, but closer to the Peterson fight which was tough to score. I think Khan should prove he's at least a top 10 WW by beating any one of Alexander or Ortiz.

I would love to see Lopez vs Khan.

Khan is also not doing himself any favors by saying this. Let's say he does beat Floyd, fans will just use this comment against him. He's been saying this since 2010. That he wants to catch the best, when they're no longer at their best, that includes Floyd. That's a cowardly thing to say and he doesn't care. If you big up some one[like Floyd did with Cotto], and show respect, and say it's gonna be a tough fight and you have to be at your best to win. Then if the win happens, the fans will respect it more than if you downplay the fighter and call him old and past his best.

So Khan is basically shooting himself in the foot in this one. 1. He's calling Floyd old and slow, so if Floyd beats him, he'd have lost to an old, slower fighter. 2. If he beats Floyd, he just beat an old fighter. And you get little to no credit. The only guy who would get credit is the old guy, Floyd Mayweather. For beating the young guy that was downplaying him and underrating his skills because of his age.

I also think Shaefer (who has been pushing PBF vs Khan for years now) has an angle behind wanting this fight now. If Khan loses to Floyd (if they fight in December), then it's because it was Khans first fight at WW, and if Floyd loses it's because he just got out of prison and wasn't mentally prepared (not that I think Floyd would ever lose to AK). If the fight comes off this year under those circumstances, Schaefer knows both fighters are still very marketable and have enough excuses to justify a loss for either (in his mind). I mean, look at the way Schaefer is justifying the Canelo/Lopez fight

Like I've said, this is the next big money fight for Schaefer and GBP with Mayweather.... and Schaefer's been saying for how long that it was gonna be Khans next fight and they were negotiating with Floyd. I personally don't even think Floyd's givin more then 2 thoughts during the times Schaefer's said these things. And especially after Khan lost to Peterson... Khan loses tonight or doesn't KO or look brilliant against Garcia, and I think there's no way Floyd even considers it.

With all that said - I feel fairly certain (if Khan wins tonight) that AK will take a 'feel out' fight for his first fight at WW, and IF Mayweather fights this year I think it will be against a tune up or soft touch. Fight wont happen this year, and a lot can happen in between. Just my opinion.

Floyd is levels above Khan. There's not much that Mayweather will have to adjust to, fighting Amir.

It's a pipe dream that some think Khan has a chance.
