i dont think wladimir has much of a chance

the most important aspect of a HW fight between historic greats is the chin. these guys are going to hit each other and there will be an effect. on those merits alone i can't pick wladimir.

both guys fight at a big man's pace, and i actually think wladimir is the better ring general and has a better fighting outlook on fighting a big man's fight. i still dont think any of that matters. when lewis lands his right hand on wladimir's chin (and he will,) he's going to be badly hurt.

the one defining difference between those two is Lewis had a killer instinct and when he would look for the ko he would get it, wlad does not, he looks for the ko and get's a decision if he doesn't tired out the competition by hugging, leaning and general stall tactics till it's fought on his level.

I think that Wlad that fought Sam Peter for the first time and today's Wlad are quite different.

Wlad didn't only gained all-needed experience and confidence but I generally think he looks much better even physically. He really looked like a monster in the last few fight. He definitely didn't have that physic 5-6 years ago.

Regarding the chin I can't tell how those two compare. Lennox was KOed twice, and once quite brutally by Rahman. He was down just by one punch and he couldn't even rise his hand. I remember his trainer needed to come to take him up after judge counted 10 sec. But he took some clear Vitali's shoots quite well.

Wlad has been KOed more times but for all those KOs it was more than one punch and he generally was on his feet before 10..

I think wlad is physically stronger, he has more power and Lewis is more skillful.

Lewis gets the KO in the middle rounds in a stinker of a fight.

He has that overwhelming power and very effective style.

What do you think if present Wladimir fights version of Lewis that Vitali fought. Who would you favor and why?

            I'm seeing it pretty close..
I'd argue Wlad is only looking better than ever because his competition has been really bad other than Haye recently.

I'm confident the Lewis that Vitali fought would have knocked Wlad out.
