It seems it's very hard to do discussion on thread like this.
It's not realistic that version of Lewis that fought Vitali can that easily KOed present Wladimir moreover other comments.

Wladimir is by no mean a perfect fighter, he has a few issues, but so did Lewis.
I don't know why people tend to make retired champions idealistic, perfect fighters...

Anyway thread is so useless.. Only two comments were back-up with arguments.

TS you made good points People here seem to forget that Lewis got koed twice by one punch, but Wladimir needed to be hit many times before getting stopped. But anyways they improved and we should look at them at their best, Lewis in his prime and Wladimir in his prime which is now would be a competitive fight I see Wladimir winning

Wladimir klitschko lost to much worse fighters than Lewis, and his "best" wins are against much worse fighters than most of Lewis opponents

Lewis would definitely be the favorite, but the fact remains that a 35-1 Wlad called out Lewis after his first defense of the WBO title he won from Chris Byrd (who along with Ruiz, Lewis never wanted to face.) And heard crickets for the next two years (till he lost to Sanders.)

I got an impression that many here didn't read the thread. It's not prime vs prime, but present version of Wlad against Lennox in his last fight.

I would say it would be 50:50. Wlad looks pretty good now imo. We never really saw his full potential as nobody is capable to bring it.

Well not all agree on that was the best version of Vitali. I think he didn't have enough experience fighting with ATG and that he could definitely won that fight. His body was in prime, but experience-wise and overall wise I don't think it was Vitali's best.

Lennox wasn't really that past his prime - he was at 80% at worst at that fight. I can name many fights where he looked worse than in that fight.

In my honest opinion for that version of Vitali and that version of Lennox I see vitali winning 7 out of 10 times.

No way Lennox could outbox him, very unlikely he could stop him. But he could win the way he won - causing Vitali injuries by not boxing but fighting.
And there is no proof that Wlad's skin is as fragile as Vitali's.

If those have been so hard punches to ripped off any skin, Vitali should be stunned several times, and he never was - he continued coming. (apart maybe that uppercut)

Prime lennox vs prime vitali is different story and it would be a very good and interesting match-up but I don't want go there.

I am talking about Wlad (who looks pretty good now) and that version of Lennox that wasn't extremely good.

Wlad who looks good now... would be retired if he fought the same competition as Lewis did. He would have lost to allot of those guys by tko or worse.

Considering Wlad is a copy of an original style, the original always trumps. and is koing guys late late in fights or he wins by decision that's proof enough right there. If lewis ever fough peter sam that dude would have been koed early menwhile peter sam gave wlad fits then he eventually one by slowing the tempo by hugging and holding.

Wlads defense is holding Lewis's was movement and the ability to fight inside.
