[QUOTE=tiko123;12324851] Lara couldn't knockout Hernadez when Berto did it in 1 round).QUOTE]Welcome to Boxing. So now that you have seen no more than a couple fights, Boxing 101 for you. Triangle theories don't work, even when it comes to power. Otherwise Tyson would have knocked out Holyfield and Bowe would not have been able to, among many other examples.

Oh btw DeCubas said Vanes "ran off" when he had the chance to fight Lara. And now they are looking for a title shot and that he's gonna get with Al Haymon about it.

Thanks to Google Translator, here's translation of Spanish article (http://www.elnuevoherald.com/2012/07...rtirosyan.html)

"The WBC ordered an eliminator between Vanes Martirosyan and Erislandy Lara, but the Cuban handlers say that this step is unnecessary and want to go directly to a fight for the 154-pound crown.
The representative of Guantanamo, Luis de Cubas Jr., reported that next week will meet with your advisor, Al Haymon, to define the alternatives of Lara.
"Martirosyan ran when he had the opportunity to fight with Lara," De Cubas Jr. "We understand that Lara became the tie when he knocked in the first round to the son of Thomas Hearns and now our goal is a world title fight. So I will meet with Haymon to define the next steps. "
Haymon, 56, is one of the most powerful men in professional boxing and is a director of Floyd Mayweather Jr. is also a wealthy man with excellent connections in the networks. This allows Lara to have the contacts before he needed to launch his career in the higher plane.
"A few weeks ago we were willing to climb into the ring Lara for $ 500,000 to fight with Saul" Canelo "Alvarez, who is looking for match for the 15 September, Independence Day in Mexico," said De Cubas Jr. "Now that has changed . Lara comes from winning and Haymon we are able to negotiate very differently. "
Lara won a unanimous decision over Mexican Freddy Hernandez, a magnificent demonstration on 27 June. The very Oscar de la Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions, entered the ring to congratulate him. The chances are better than ever for Cubans.
Meanwhile, Martirosyan (32-0, 20 KOs) was going to have action on Saturday night but the fight was canceled because his opponent with Ryan Davis (09/03/24, 9 KOs), no country "or the medical examination.
On the other hand, De Cubas Jr. on Monday reported that Lara will start their classes in English, within a comprehensive plan to improve in every way."

Thanks Bro. Lara's team is SOOO hypocritical and ridiculous, its not even funny. They say "Vanes ran off" but all Vanes wanted is for the winner (lara or vanes) to secure a shot with Canelo, something they should have asked for themselves. That's what their crying about now and yet they have the nerve to say Vanes ran off, when Vanes was still willing to fight with a binding contract but they dont even want to fight Vanes, pathetic.

Lara was willing to fight and he didn't care about getting a shot at Canelo.

So why does he care now? What has changed now from a month ago, if he wanted the fight then regardless, then why not now?

WHERE does it say Lara or Team Lara are not interested in the fight???? All they are talking about is negotiations and that in and of itself indicates interest and there is nothing to suggest otherwise. I think you are missing something out of all of this. Also, you understand how a bidding goes? Or when a bidding is dropped?

And that's why he keeps taking it in the rear from Oscar and the GBP crew, it's a damn shame that Lara is practically begging for the fight and it falls on deaf ears. Canelo is his stablemate, Lara is a legit Jr Middle, and GBP continues to screw him over.

FYI - The bidding is held on July 27th. The only one who ever indicated they did not want the fight was Vanes, twice, Lara, never. I will give this to Vanes, he only declined when he wasn't promised a title shot if he won, so I understand that, but don't twist it around to make it look like Lara is not interested.
