Credit to Mathebula. He could have understandably pulled out with a broken jaw. But obviously, he puts his career before his health. I guess that's how bad he wanted it.

That's the difference between fighters like him and fighters like Ortiz.

Not saying he did it illegal, just a dramatic change in attributes.

not sure if anyone else noticed.

Before meeting Conte Donaire had already dispatched Darchinyan, Maldonado, the undefeated Raul Martinez (dropped Martinez twice in round 1 and again once in round 3 and again round 4) and Manuel Vargas. Of the 5 opponents he faced since Darchinyan and before Marquez, only one, Rafael Concepcion, went the distance. On the other hand, of the five fighters he faced since Marquez, three went the distance (Narvaez, Vasquez and Mathebula) and only two were stopped, i.e., Sydorenko and Montiel.

Link to Michael Woods' article on ESPN ( go straight to the paragraph right beside the picture of Donaire dealing a right to Rafael Conception):

Like i said, in the bold. I'm not talking about stoppages or KO ratios, but the power difference after the bold. As i was watching the fights, there's something different about it then and now, that seems su****ious, and considering who he's working with, no matter how sorry he was ,you'll be a fool not have some uncertainty, specifically in Conte's case.

i'm the only one seeing this?

        oh well

And that's why Donaire said that he will be testing with VADA for the rest of his boxing career 24/7 right? B/c Conte is giving him something to give him superhuman strength. Maybe it's that "A-side Meth" Pacquiao is taking? Read a book!!!
