Imo, he'll have to cut off the ring and stay close and try to bully Martinez and wear him down. I don't think it'll work for Jr to try to fight tall and that doesn't seem like his style, anyway.

I really like the idea that the son of an ATG boxer might actually become a worthy successor to his badass papa.

    War JCCjr!!
    excellent post

The fact that this fight is in Nevada should make some feel better. At least skeptics can admit it's a step-up from Texas, and that he will be forced to give his urine the same way as every other fighter, boxing/MMA or otherwise.

I feel that Sergio will have a harder time with JCC Jr. than most expect. JCC Jr. is a really big kid and he exerts relentless bullying pressure. Sometimes Sergio has mid fight lapses and loses steam, mouth hanging open etc. Obviously he comes on in later rounds and gets the job done. JCC Jr. also has a great chin so far from what I can tell so it could be a great fight. JCC Jr. is a lot bigger than Sergio and he is going to be leaning on him all night. That being said, I think Sergio will win but not sure how yet, I want to say a decision most likely. I am just not sure how much damage Sergio's punches are going to do to Jr. That last fight with Lee, even though Jr. looked like a wrecking ball, Lee is overrated in my opinion. Lee is a guy who has a loss to Brian Vera and pulled out a stroke of luck against McEwan, who was beating him around the ring like a stepchild all night. Also, even though he got the wins, Jr. in my eyes was beaten by Vanda in the 1st fight and by Zbik, both robberies to me. As I said, even though the fight may be tougher than expected, if Jr. beats Sergio, I think something may be "rotten in Denmark" so to speak lol. If I was Sergio I would demand some drug testing up the ass haha.

I really don't think that Martinez can dominate Chavez. But to me I agree, win or lose as long as Chavez looks good, he has to be respected. At 1st about a year ago, I felt Martinez dominates Chavez, but now I think Chavez has perfected pressure fighting. This fight will tell me, as a fan of both fighters a whole lot.

I think so, we all know what Martinez can do and in the end of the fight we will know where Jr stands is boxing
