The Martinez fight will show us alot about Chavez Jr

I am a huge fan of his and he has improved alot lately, but this is the fight i have wanted to see because it will show me where Chavez is.Win or lose it is the way he performs which interest me.How will he deal with Martinez's speed, angles and rhythm? Will he be able to adapt during the fight? This fight is like his graduation exam, lets see how he scores............May the best man win

      No it won't.

I've been saying for 3 years JCC JR is the best MW in the world. So if he beats Sergio Martinez it's no surprise to me.

I think he should give an explanation why he hasn't handed in specimens for testing at fights and then continue to comply with the testing everybody does and then perhaps I can think about where he stands

no shame in chavez jr losing to martinez...but if beats martinez that would be huge. and definitely would hurt martinez's career i think.

Why would losing to a bigger younger Chavez hurt his career? Thats how life works the young lions beats the old lion and takes over.

Seeing as he had no amateur career, I kinda' cut Jr some slack regarding his level of opposition and watched him get better over time, especially in the last couple of years. Sergio Martinez is a giant leap up in competition that is only partially offset by Julio-the-younger's size advantage.

Imo, he'll have to cut off the ring and stay close and try to bully Martinez and wear him down. I don't think it'll work for Jr to try to fight tall and that doesn't seem like his style, anyway.

I really like the idea that the son of an ATG boxer might actually become a worthy successor to his badass papa.

                War JCCjr!!

Won't really tell us anything about him. Everyone will say, "Well, Sergio is #3 P4P, so...." And they'll be right. Jr needs to fight a few guys on his level forus to learn what he's made of. The Martinez fight will just make him look bad, even though he might be pretty decent.

There's only 1 reason to refuse a drug test, but he just doesn't look all that cut to me like Vargas in the De La Hoya fight, for example.

Wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't wanna pee in cup just cause' he's a stoner in his off time...
