The Margarito fight is truly irrelevant now, But yea Chavez has improve a lot and i wouldnt be surprise if he win legitimately.

A fighter through time can only improve in skills and physical attributes, BUT a fighter's heart will be the same from the day he was born till the day he dies... A recent example, Ortiz...

Yeah if we are going to judge how he reacts to pressure fighters the only 2 relevant comparisons are Pavlik and Williams. Williams who by the way is better than Chetto and proved it in the ring. Pavlik is also a good comparison to how he handles a guy who's much bigger than him. He pretty easily passed those tests, and I'd favor that version of Pavlik and both versions of Williams over Jr in a fight.

Really? Against a better pressure fight than Chetto, Paul Williams, in their first fight it sure didn't look like he lacked any heart. Sure I scored Williams winning, but Martinez fought an extremely gutsy fight, recovered from being hurt several times, was pressured the entire fight, and never gave in. Guy was down in the fight against Pavlik and then dominated the end of that fight against another good pressure fighter.

the other has hit his peak:

                1. He cannot get faster

                2. His skills are what they are and the best they can do is erode

                3. His reflexes have hit their peak and the best they can do is erode.

Size is and C. Jrs great chin plus youth and getting much better each fight vs the elderly, the best is to hold what he has , can he do it ?

More likely we will see him erode like he did a bit in his last fight but worse this time.

                Chavez by KO
The best they can do is ERODE, but they haven't eroded and not on this fight and so soon, IMO. Also, Chavez could get better but his potential isn't going to get anywhere Martinez's is, he's already had 46 pro fights. What's he going to do...wait til he reaches to his pops numbers of 100+ fights to see his potential? And I'm saying 100+ because he never had an amateur fight.

Martinez, by DEC or late TKO.
