Martinez's biggest weapon is that he is fighting JCCJ.

If u would like to see this fight before hand just go watch Joel Calzaghe vs Jeff Lacey and u will see the outcome of when a great fast fighter meets a C class slow tough guy or Mayweather vs Gatti was the same. Good fighters and macho guys but just get caught out if their league at times and get beat up

Yep foot and hand speed way too fast.

yep if Chavez cant find a way to cut off the ring on Sergio, which I dont think he can, he will get beaten up and maybe stopped late, which I would bet on.

JCC is no were near as quick as that version of Margarito was and Martinez is now about twice the fighter he was then. I see him having an easy time with JCC jr.

Something not being mentioned is I think we will see a highly motivated Sergio Martinez who knows this is his moment, if he stays healthy he's gonna be a monster in the ring that night himself with blazing speed, power and endurance.
This is his chance to get the kind of recognition he wants more than anything.

They think Martinez is a weak puncher, that is the underlying story behind all this. Once Chavez eats that first flush, solid straight left, his eye is going to start to swell up. It won't be more than a round or two before he is in the corner with his dad over his shoulder trying to keep him calm. They are going to be in or a rude awakening thinking they are going to steamroll Sergio.

Well, i see alot of factors. Also, i see chavez completely draining himself to the point of being a skeleton as playing a factor in a 12 round fight, assuming martinez uses his footwork and makes chavez constantly move. Cant wait

This is one of those times where speed doesnt matter because Chavez Jr. is a very tough boxer with a very good body punch that will slow his opponent down and Chavez Jr. has tremendous chin that will lasts 12 rounds. Yes! Martinez is a good fighter with speed and power and if he pull this one off I will consider him one of the elite.

I see this fight kinda like Pernell/Chavez Snr.. Although both are far superior.. Martinez boxing skills, speed, plus his southpaw stance will create major problems for JCC Jr.. Plus Martinez has the power to score the KO.. Going with Martinez...

Posted on another thread this the more appropriate thread sorry

You all talking about Sergio's way above skills against Chavez??!!! What you all Sergio lover have forgotten was how Sergio reacts against a BIG PRESSURE FIGHTER, just an example the Margarito fight, but the big difference this time, Chavez don't need no brick hand wraps, he has a real middleweight punching power!!!
