right now, he does exactly what he's told. he's got a long term deal with GBP. they are his bosses. if you cross your promotor in boxing it usually leads to a long layoff and a court battle.

I'm a Canelo fan. 100%. And I don't like this match up. It's BS. Can't completely blame him though. He had Williams, Kirk and Ortiz fall apart. Those 3 match ups had the boxing world buzzing. Haters, like the people who started this thread and the ones NOW criticizing, were quiet and respectful. Is what it is.

Still, I think that if you're gonna keep that date AND call it "history" then put someone in there who is at least the dudes same weight. Whatever. I'm still Canelo's fan even if this goes down but I'll be watching Chavez vs Martinez instead.
