This was my first thought as well. I can't tell you how many times an article has been posted on these websites saying a fight is all but signed, everyone and their mama's gets all wrilled up... and a day later something totally different is announced. Then again, it seems like with Oscar and GBP - they also tend to come out and say "No, not a word of it's true - we've not even spoken to so-and-so's Team".... and a day later they announce the very same fight, with contracts signed and venues set. You just can't tell with a guy like Oscar, who says "I was misquoted" in a VIDEO interview of himself. 
I hope to stay optomistic and not buy in to the outrage JUST YET. I always tell myself, when I read ridiculous news like this, to wait a day or two until we hear it from the horses mouth, to get properly peeved.
IF it's true..... RIDICULOUS. These are the type of fights we get when fighters give too much power to their promoters. Say it ain't so, Joe.

I wonder if they (boxing powers-that-be) throw **** out there through "unnamed source close to the blahblahblah" and let it circulate in the media and on the fansites/mssgboards, etc. for a few days and then consider the strength of the support/backlash in the decision making process.
