Just ****ing sad if it's true. I keep tryin' to leave myself room to get on the Alvarez bandwagon, but how am I gonna' do that if they pull **** like this?

This was my first thought as well. I can't tell you how many times an article has been posted on these websites saying a fight is all but signed, everyone and their mama's gets all wrilled up... and a day later something totally different is announced. Then again, it seems like with Oscar and GBP - they also tend to come out and say "No, not a word of it's true - we've not even spoken to so-and-so's Team".... and a day later they announce the very same fight, with contracts signed and venues set. You just can't tell with a guy like Oscar, who says "I was misquoted" in a VIDEO interview of himself.

I hope to stay optomistic and not buy in to the outrage JUST YET. I always tell myself, when I read ridiculous news like this, to wait a day or two until we hear it from the horses mouth, to get properly peeved.

I cannot believe people mention Mayorga. Do you want to see a buildup rather than a fight where the opponnent has a real chance? Mayorga has failed against Spinks, Oscar, Trinidad, Mosley, almost everyone KO's him. This would be no different.

Very disapointed if true.I was hoping canelo would unify.If canelo wanted to look good,He should of chose mayorga.

I give Lopez a much better chance than the bag of wind Mayorga who has not won a fight in years, yet they still give him title fights out of the blue over more deserving fighters. Mayorga needs to do something bizarre like win a freaking fight.
