Canela is garbage. Hope his jaw breaks too.

I'll be tuned into Chavez Martinez

who knows, maybe Canelo's fight is only show in town that night.

I think you might have misread my last post.....there isn't much difference, but I say Mayorga is the better option at this point... better test of his chin, adds more to his bottom line because of the name, and will be a decent show like he did with Cotto. The build up will be funny, he will talk **** for every Canelo hater out there, which are many. It seems like a logical step up in power/size from Shane. Almost guaranteed to gas himself out, so it's not too much of a threat...while not appearing ot be a bully against the smaller lopez

      i can revisit it.

it does indeed sound like i misunderstood you.

neither guy is beating canelo. that's why goldenboy is having him fight them.

i'd give each guy about the same chance. styles make fights. as you said, mayorga will gas and get stopped. lopez has a few more wrinkles he can throw, even if he's going to be outgunned and one punch away from being out. i think he will try and box and take canelo into deep water. it wont work (canelo has 40 plus fights and has been going many rounds for a long time,) but that's a better plan than swinging away the way mayorga will swing. i think canelo can stop lopez without much fuss, but he's not going to just pick a corner and take a nap.

lopez at least beat a tank of a WW who was scheduled to fight canelo. he showed that he can take a shot and hurt a guy of ortiz' size, and ortiz is not much smaller than canelo.
again, he's not some world beater at WW or JMW, but that accomplishment is what it is. mayorga just talks **** and smokes at pressers, and has a flurry or two early in the fight.

i'd much prefer a smaller, prime fighter coming off of a win who fights hard, than a heavy handed, well past prime fighter who smokes a pack a day and gives up after a few rounds.
and i'd even give mayorga the better chance to win and still want to see lopez

Yeah, let's wait for all the elite 154 lb'ers to beat the schit out each other for the next 3-7 years all in hopes of getting a shot at Canelo when he's 24-30 years old.

By the time Canelo fights any of the real 154 lb'ers they would be punch drunk from beating the schit out each other and going to wars all so Canelo can come strolling in and clean up the garbage in the name of "business sense" and being a "gold mine" as you put it.

I knew I would read comments like this no matter who Canelo faced, but I didn't expect it to be this incredible. I really didn't.

this does absolutely NOTHING for Canelo, if he beats Lopez that just means he defeated at damn 140 lbs fighter at 154

Why can't this guy fight a legit 154 pounder? Jesus ****in Christ. Lopez had just move up to 147 and now they dragging him to 154 to fight a big LMW in Canelo.

so if you were a promoter you'd match fighters the way a "fan" on nsb would?
"**** this money ****... the best fighting the best... blah blah blah."

you'd be on the street and looking for a new job

this is how boxing works. you will have to deal with it and be patient, young one.

all you're doing is showing that you've only seen one generation of fighters, or else this wouldn't be anything new to you.

loved the red karma bar. delicious. if you knew anything about this sport you'd realize that you're complaining about boxing being boxing. why dont you whine about the sky being blue.?

canelo will fight floyd in 2013 and more than likely in the winter. he'll be 23 years old.

Top Rank steals the show from Golden Boy on the same day. No way this Canelo-Lopez crap beats Martinez-Chavez.
