Nishioka? I don't know much about this guy. You gotta fight the best to be the best. So fighting him is way to go, then it is. Going after Arces now is a bit pointless. Just unify those belts through Mares and Rigondeaux and move up in weight for more challenges. I would like Rigondeaux to fight couple of more times to become more established in the boxing world before fighting Donaire.Comment

If anybody should be fighting Arce, it's Rigo.Nishioka? I don't know much about this guy. You gotta fight the best to be the best. So fighting him is way to go, then it is. I don't see how he isn't yet a ducker. The guy won a vacant title against WV2 (incidentally coming of a defeat against Arce) and then beat Mathebula, the weakest champion of the division who by the way was fighting his first fight in the USA.
There are top guys like Mares, Nishioka and Rigondeaux, and I won't mention Moreno since he's still at 118, and yet he's going to fight Arce. Don't say crap about "nobody knows Rigondeaux, a fight with Arce would make more money" since Nonito just fought Mathebula who has even less of a fan base than Rigondeaux. Mares also is a known fighter and just because he's from México he has an "inherited" fan base, and Nishioka always fills the places where he fights in Japan (Unlike Nonito in the USA) but I'm pretty sure that the Filipino fighter is not going to fight Nishioka in Japan.Comment

When HBO interviewed Donaire after the fight, how many of you heard him mention Arce as a potential opponent? I know that I sure didn't.Comment

I think it's doable. If TR is concerned about money, stage the fight in Japan. Donaire has some presence there. Of course Nishioka is a huge draw. A venue in Japan will make more green than a fight at the Staples Center against Arce. Donaire will most def get more street cred for beating Nishioka too.Comment
