Dirrell ain't got no confidence in his ability. He is a way better fighter than Adonis but just like the way he fights, he's scared.

      1. Stevenson is not the equivalent of the Yankees, Red Sox, or Heat, Celtics. He's more like the Kansas City Royals.

      2. No matter who the Heat play, or the Yankees play, for example, they still get their big fat checks exactly the same for any team they play against. In boxing, your check depends on who you fight. If the Yankees are getting $50k each to play the Royals, and $500k each to play the Red Sox[just an example, these numbers are false], and they can actually choose who they can play..you believe they will play the Royals over the Red Sox?

Boxing is a completely different business from every other sport. There's no sport that can be compared to boxing in the business aspect, not even it's cousin MMA. Dana White owns the UFC, therefore if he wants fighter A to fight fighter B, the fight will happen, as long it's UFC fighters. In boxing, think of GBP as UFC, Top Rank as StrikeForce, Dibella as K1. They are DIFFERENT companies, owned by DIFFERENT people. You get it?

Think of an NBA team, like the Heat, not coming to terms to play a Japanese basketball team. Not two NBA teams not wanting to play eachother. That's how boxing is.

"Andre Dirrell has officially withdrew from the bout" sounds more like Dirrell was not happy with the money and Michel is making it look like he just withdrew out of nowhere. And sounds like all of those guys, Kessler, Pavlik, Bika, Rodriguez, were not happy with the money either. Bika has fought, and would fight, absolutely any one. From Calzaghe, to Bute, to Ward, so I doubt there's any ducking going on here. More like low-balling.

I also like the biased comment at the end, from the writer. "A late hit by Abraham". Call it what it actually was, and that is an uncalled for, disgraceful foul. Late hit my ass. A late hit is more like your momentum making you throw the punch after a bell. That was blatant punch to Dirrell's chin while he was not looking and was obviously kneeling on the floor from slip.
Its not like Dirrell can claim that he is unhappy about the money since the fight was going to pursebids.

Like I said, Dirrell better have a good reason for pulling out because that fight would have put him back in the spotlight. I'm guessing it's because he wouldn't have had a full training camp, at least that's why Bika pulled out.

He knew the date last week when he Said yes to the fight, so that cannot be an excuse.

wow you're dumb, Dana owns UFC & Strikeforce so don't compare them to crooked ass promotional companies. second, your comment doesn't make a lick of sense. you saying Dirrell is ducking the Royals to fight the Yankees, i thought he fought the Royals in his last match. no fight, no check... you get it?

There wasn't much behind that punch at all, the delayed reaction was shake-fest was a bad joke. It's not like he threw a haymaker to almost take Dirrell's head off or something.

                    Exactly.

That's why Don King had MULTIPLE fight cards with 4 world title fights lined up.

And the Philadelphia Eagles (NFL) never played the Philadelphia Stars (USFL) back in 1983.

Like I have always said, Dirrell is a waste of talent and should retire permanently from boxing.
