i had donaire winning by two rounds. it was a close fight tho. i wasnt impressed with the big shots from donaire. he wasted a whole fight doing that. it was borderline ******ed. sometimes i wonder what goes on in his head, hes too much of a veteran fighter to fight the way he does.

I dont see how some people can have this fight as a draw or even close. Mathebula was playing survivor mode almost the entire fight, and ended up looking very awkward throughout each round. "but look at donaire's face!". Ive seen more damaged, red faces from wearing tight headgear.

Stick to the takedown and submission attempts scoring(Im pretty sure you cant score either).

I get what you mean, for instance he was getting hit with so many jabs and could have avoided a ton by just keeping his gloves up. But instead he tries to fight like Martinez or RJJ. He should have jabbed more himself too.

Garcia was giving him good tips too but he wasn't really listening.

That's the thing though, he TRIES to fight like RJJ...he just doesn't have the speed and reflexes of a prime Roy. Roy would be beating your ass and in your face when he would showboat. They'd want to hit him, but they couldn't. Nonito does his Roy impression almost nervously and when he know he is out of range. It is embarrassing and he needs to knock that off, it isn't a good look for him.

many posters are saying that donaire won by a clear wide little margin.............I've scored the fight 3 times already & I've come up with the same result. heres my score card (I would love to have a logical debate about these rounds if you disagree)

the extra point in round 4 was the only thing that won donaire the fight on my card.........otherwise it was a draw.


i just don't understand all of the cards that have donaire winning by 5 rounds & more.

After watching for the second time Donaire Rounds 1, 4, 6, 7, 11, 12. Mathebula 2,3,5,8,9,10.

Most Donaire left were blocked. The crowd got too damn excited for punches that were not landing. At the beginning Max was acting the same until someone apparently told him that on TV it appears that the punches were being blocked. Kellerman then acknowledge it on the broadcast. Funny thing is that he told Donaire that the broadcast team had him winning but Bob Poppa was hinting that he had Mathebula up or a Draw.

114-113 donaire. 6 rounds to 6 but extra knockdown point gives donaire the edge

this is exactly what i had..............I was shocked at how very few people saw it this way.

i always recommend re scoring...........this fight was dead close.

I had the same score. I had Donaire winning by 1 point thanks to the KD. People claiming Mathebula did not win ONE round cause he ran or whatnot are the same people saying Abril lost to Rios cause of the clinching and whatever else.

The scores were wide but there is no question in my mind that Donaire won. I still scored the fight like the first time I saw it 6 rounds to 4 in Nonito's favor. All that jabbing and slapping of Mathebula got erase with a few hard punches from Donaire
