Yeah I'm not sure how he can still make 140 tbh
He'd just better not for his sake go from fighting Garcia then making the leap & chasing Floyd because then he really will get whipped like an octopus as Angel Garcia quoted.

what has khan done to deserve the fight...lose to peterson, and complain like a itchb...ill pass...he needs to get past garcia, i see him as a real threat to beat khan...then he can fight bradley if they can get through the whole goldenboy/top rank ish... no mayweather no way...maybe in a year or two if may is still around...

His fanbase doesn't touch the big boys in the past few years (Cotto, Hatton, De La Hoya etc).

I doubt his team would be happy with a baby paycheck, and Team Mayweather ain't no charity.

But yes, I'd like to see the fight in the future.
I agree! Khan is not as big in America as apparently some people in the UK believes, he is not a DRAW here YET as far as filling up stadiums or any of that, he is basically known as "THE GUY THAT SPARS WITH PACQUIAO" and is "TRAINED BY FREDDIE ROACH" in America

he would be lucky to get a 70/30 Split from Mayweather at this point, he needs to move up first then beat one of two Top Welterweights them maybe this fight can build up some steam, for some boxing fans yeah they want to see this match up but Casual Fans don't know Amir Khan all that much

I'd much rather see Khan have a huge domestic fight with Kell Brook at the MEN or something, would be a good introduction to the WW division. Then maybe Ortiz or Alexander before a fight with Mayweather late next year. He's nowhere near ready for Mayweather at the moment, he'd be on a hiding to nothing.

Khan-Ortiz makes such ridiculous sense for both fighters.

The problem for Khan is Mayweather doesn't give a **** about what hardcore fans think, or what belts you have, his interest lies in how much dollar the fight can generate. The Cotto fight was more of a risk than others out there, but the financial reward more than made up for that risk.

As long as the Mayweather team thinks that their financial positioning, and the monetary reward that follows comfortably outweighs the risk involved, they'll take the fight.

We'll be watching Haye vs Chisora next week, a 30,000 seater fight that will be probably sell out. Could Khan pull this crowd against anyone on his level? I'm not confident in Khan's marketability on the gates or via PPV, and that's not a knock on him, but he isn't getting anywhere near 70/30.

                What did Ortiz get?

Yep! Would LOVE to see that fight. In an ideal world that fight should happen and the winner get's a shot(or another shot in Ortiz's case) at Mayweather.

**** knows what Ortiz got but Khan is a big name and you may laugh at this reasoning but just look at his twitter followers alone(feels a bit funny saying it lol) but he's a big name, especially in the UK.

He probably has more haters than fans in the UK but the way Maywether would look at it, is who cares? Those haters will still tune in to see him get his a.s.s whooped.

Of course he doesn't bring in as much as say a Pacquiao or maybe even a Canelo, but after those two Khan probably generates the most, even more than Martinez??

Floyd doesn't have many other options.

I wouldn't trash this fight. Let's just hope Amir convincingly beats Garcia
