Nonito doesn't have a killer's instint, he got Mathebula in trouble a couple of times but instead he backed off, maybe it is his boxing style not to risk it, it's just that it makes the fight dull and anti climax.......a couple of times during the fight also I and my friends present at the fight cannot help but jeer at both of them for just standing and not throwing any punches.....Comment

I had it a very close fight going into the last two rounds so if anyone needs glasses it may be you. And I could tell that the South African didn't land anything meaningful by how clean Donaire's face happened to be. And as far as the scoring goes it was absolutely horrendous.Wow. What are you people on??
Mathebula didn't win one single round.
By the fifth round Donaire was toying with him for ****sake.
Donaire's defense was nothing short of perfect. Really Mathebula never really landed anything meaningful in the fight and was in survival mode from the fifth on.
You people seriously need some ****ing glasses.Comment

Bad scoring.......Home Depot Center, Carson, California - Nonito Donaire (29-1, 18KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Jeffrey Mathebula (26-4-2, 14KOs) to unify the WBO/IBF super bantamweight titles. The scores were 117-110, 118-109 and 119-108.
