scores were wide but there's no doubt donaire won. I had it 7-5 plus the extra point for the knockdown. Tough, competitive fight but clear victory for Donaire.

It's pro boxing. It's all about EFFECTIVE punches and ring generalship, not punches that merely land.

yeah it's the easiest fight to be made. Arum promotes them both. this reminds me of Nassem Hamed ducking and dodging Juan Manuez Marquez.

            Draw???

I am not sure why everyone is using the amateur scoring in this fight. Someone said they had a draw? Come on, I give Jeffrey credit for settling down after looking a bit scared in the first two rounds, as well as coming back strong after eat a monster left, but I did not see anything that would even remotely suggest that he can hurt Donaire. Anyways, if this was in London a month later and they had little rings on the banners aka the Olympics, yes this could have been a draw, but Donaire clearly won in my opinion. Kelly looked heavy handed as always, but at this stage he is not gonna change much. Knowing more about Bute, it would be very interesting if Kelly would catch him or get out boxed the entire night.

I think next time out Nonito needs to stop being the aggressor and just jab dodge and run. That way everyone here can call him great! Come on people he took it to a bigger, taller fighter who was more intent on surviving than damaging his opponent. I know this is the case cause after the fight I immediately rewatched twice in fast-motion:-P

yah i think donaire felt he couldn't box from the outside because of the huge height and reach difference..so he opted to be the aggressor which he isn't used to.

Mathebulas paper jabs mess up donaires face? What will rigondeaux punch do? But its top rank that wont happen. And nonito, stay away from 126.

Mathebula didn't win one single round.

By the fifth round Donaire was toying with him for ****sake.

Donaire's defense was nothing short of perfect. Really Mathebula never really landed anything meaningful in the fight and was in survival mode from the fifth on.

You people seriously need some ****ing glasses.
