If we're going to trash Fury's opposition we should definitely be taking another look at Adamek's CV.
I have to ask what is with your obsession of Adamek? And I hope you realize that they have medication for that.

Hes getting better, but Hennessy has him in there with bum after bum, and because of this I cant help getting annoyed with the hype train Channel 5 have rolling. Its a massive pain in the arse! and I hate listening to Fury, Hennessy and the channel 5 guys talk like he is a world beater. They need to step up now, no more excuses, no more ducking.

I get very tired of the criticism leveled at the Klitchkos, Haye, Fury, **** it - just about anybody else in the heavyweight division - for taking on poor opponents when Adamek is somehow allowed a pass for fighting the complete bums he likes to feast on, almost always in his hometown.

it was like watching a fat old man with a bad wig on in the ring at times against Fury.

Fury needs to step up to contender level if he is ever going to learn anything from his fights now.

Fury looked in great shape tonight. If he is gonna challenge the best he needs to stay in that shape.

The opposition was very poor in Maddalone though. Hopefully the Adamek fight gets made as it is about time he gets properly tested.

Although its hard to judge with him fighting under-matched opponents, Fury seems to be looking better. Throws more combinations and is looking in much better shape.

Be interesting to see who he fights next, hope he can make a fight with a higher level of opposition.

Adamek just fought Chambers, who is a top 10 contender. I don't really regard that as his hometown either. That's like saying Proska was the home fighter against Hope tonight because he lives in England and Hope is from Wales. Adamek has built himself up a nice fanbase in NJ but it's not the same as fighting in your actual home country.

I'm also pretty sure that most people shit all over the Adamek-Toney fight and it's not regarded as a competitive matchup.

Don't get me wrong, Adamek has certainly faced some unimpressive opposition in the last few years, but I don't see the favouritism for him. If there's only minimal criticism for some of his fights it's because not enough people care about them to say anything one way or the other.

Most heavyweight contenders can look great against Vinny Maddalone. There is still no real proof that Fury's adjustments in his mentality and training habits have made a true difference.

Before calling out Klitschko, he should have a real fight for a change. A sudden step-up in class from Maddalone to even Adamek could be too overwhelming for him to handle.

It's difficult to think of Adamek as a top 5 heavyweight but at this time he may very well be that. He's the right guy to go to in order to get a high ranking and a notable name on your record when you're as big as Tyson Fury is, but Maddalone and Rogan are no warm-ups for any competitive contest.

I guess Fury needed a confidence boost after being rocked against Firtha and Pajkic.

I don't think Maddalone managed to avoid a punch for the last two rounds. Fury has to step it up now. A fight with Adamek is probably wishful thinking, but someone like Travis Walker perhaps?
