Great fight, props to both guys.

Brook looked very special in the first half, then gassed. Thankfully that brought on what I needed to see, he has a chin and grit. Work on conditioning and it's all there.

I agree Brook did dig down when required and stole some rounds necessary late to win this decision

What? Carson Jones is a beast but a person is blind if they score the fight for him. It isn't beyond logic if someone scored the fight for Jones considering it was very close.

Haven't seen the fight yet - so will reserve judgement, but comments such as once he gets his stamina up etc.

You tend to have a chin and good stamina or don't. If Brook isn't as fit as he could possibly be with a World Title shot on the line then I don't know what will motivate him to get fitter.

Calzaghe, Pacquiao etc always turned up in top shape regardless. I reckon Kell's a fighter that doesn't use stamina as a major tool.

Classy, skilled fighter with power but untested at the highest level, with defence, chin and stamina all questions that before last night hadn't been asked.

As I said, I wasn't able to view the fight and, no disrespect to Carson Jones who is a solid pro there or thereabouts at the top level but should he really be pushing Brook in a life and death fight.

From the sounds of it Brooks heart has been tested and can now not be in question - but his defence, stamina, chin and ring generalship etc are all major question marks at the highest level.

A another good win for him, didn't see a stoppage in this one. Retirement must beckon for Matthews now. Coming off the back of his win over Crolla I thought he'd be a real threat.

For those calling Carson Jones a beast, hes not. He's a c level.fighter at best in America. I totally didn't expect too struggle so much. I think the dudes kinda overrated.

guess that mean both brook and ortiz were overrated then, ehh? lol. either way, carson jones isnt even as good as i would say lopez is. seriously, carson jones isnt that good. im surprised to hear ppl calling him a beast. hes barely even an espn fighter over here. at least lopez is that much(or was).

jones is about the level of soto karass.....and incidentally, soto and jones are both in alfonso gomez's victim list(easily too)....

lol, its hilarious. i really dont think ppl know who jones is. smh. this was not supposed to be a close fight for brook at all. this was supposed to be a dominating performance. it was a good fight dont get me wrong. but thats not at all why they signed up for jones.
