I think Golovkin would garner some interest

but disregard my previous post...I completely forgot about Quillin-Rubio being lined up. Rubio is the bigger name plus it'll still make for an exciting fight.

I feel bad for Golovkin. Talk about unable to get a good fight.

I don't believe anything is signed yet as Rubio is trying to get the fight in Mexico.

The potential for Rubio-Quillin was announced a hot minute ago, I'm sure the gears were already running on tryna make this happen for sometime in September. Everything I'm reading now is that Rubio was pushing for this fight to be in Mexico though. GBP is gonna take the same route with Quillin as they are with Canelo, just on a smaller scale.

They'll protect him from guys that have the potential of making him look bad (although I actually think he can beat Golovkin) and match him up with some blockbuster type dudes. Quillin is marketable, talks his fair amount of s**t and is raw enough to have casual fans get behind him.

Rubio just makes more sense as a career path for Pete. If we learned anything the last few months, a belt doesn't do much for you in boxing lolol...

Few months?! Try years! Ratings are getting up there with belts if you ask me too.
