I'm happy that Team Golovkin offered the fight. As for GB/Quillin not accepting, i'm slightly disappointed. Quillin isn't any position to complain about not getting title shots after this offer.

The only way Golovkin is gonna fight a marquee name is by having it enforced by a sanctioning body. Sad but true.
Pavlik beat Rubio into submission Kofi Jantuah KOd him in the 1st

Rubio loses most of his high profile fights that's just what he does and the reason GB wanted to make this fight

Just shows the difference between a Joseito Lopez and Quillen not that it's his fault but he gets the path of least resistence bcse of the entitlement program in boxing

Rubio quit on his stool, it wasn't a proper KO. The Jantuah fight was a long time ago. I'm just saying if you mention Rubio to mainstream american boxing fans they'll say "oh yeah the guy who went the distance with Chavez Jr and lasted quite long against Pavlik". You mention Golovkin and they'll be like "Who?" That's just the way it is. If Quillin can KTFO Rubio today this could be his coming out party.

You can't compare Ortiz to Golovkin in terms of marketability in the states. Anybody in Lopez' shoes would have taken that fight.

I love how Boxing fans today accuse every fighter of "DUCKING" when a fight doesn't get done lol

without even knowing why, people just ASSUME what happened or why a fight wasn't accepted

where was the fight to be held? If in Europe, I can see why he would turn it down. If in the states, no excuses he should have taken it.

And a win against Golovkin does nothing to compare to a win vs Rubio?

And who knew who Lopez was before Ortiz he fought a network main event in a exciting fight and now he's a hot commodity

Among the names under consideration for Golovkin: Marco Antonio Rubio and Matthew Macklin

What a suprise. Golden Boy and Al Haymon going to protect him all the way to the top lol
Funny how you worded your title just to **** on Quillin. "Quillin turns down Golovkin" when your twitter paste clearly says Golden Boy did.

Exactly what Im trying to say...

The fight with Rubio wasn't gonna happen anyway either. That's what I read somewhere.

Most people who watch HBO and Showtime don't know who Golovkin is. GG is one of my favorite fighters but the truth is the truth.

Yes and that's because he was offered a fight against Ortiz who is a big name in america. You can't compare that to Quillin being offered a Golovkin fight.

Straying off point if Guerreo got hurt and they needed a replacement to fight Aydin you think Lopez would of turned the same scenario down different mentality bcse of his placement now that Lopez took a chance he's their too

This is a showdown fight at MW for a belt that is televised and the winner would get massive exposure more than a win vs Rubio and to go with he's not known blah blah lame politics is just as big of a threat to the sport as bad judging etc..
