Pavlik? The guy is so basic and would offer next to nothing.

What has he even done to warrant a mention of a title fight at 168? Beat an actual contender first, then get a beatdown from Froch.

I'm disappointed that the Kessler rematch doesn't look like it's going to happen until next year. What if Bute beats Froch in Montreal by then?

That will take all the air out of that fight.

Froch is always willing to fight the best fighters out there. If only there were more fighters like that. This guy refuses to take a tune up. Not that I want him to but still.

A win would set up a pretty solid Froch vs Kessler triology.

I like Froch but if he TRULY wants redemption, then he's gotta go after Ward. Or Dirrell. I don't see it though.

Froch beat Dirrell so how would fighting him again offer redemption? Also Dirrell has done nothing for the last 2 years so it's a non-starter. The 1st fight stunk as well, with Dirrell's weak-kneed efforts and constant holding.

As for Ward, I sure Froch would like another shot, however Ward is fighting Bad Chad and I don't think Froch would be in a rush to take another fight against Ward in the US and Ward would not go to UK. The fight was also quite one-sided and I just don't think Froch has the style to change the outcome in a rematch.

In addition, Froch is contractually tied to a rematch with Bute and really wants Kessler, so a rematch with Ward is just not likely to happen and a rematch with Dirrell even less so.

Because he didn't really "beat" Dirrell, he got a hometown decision.

You're right that Andre hasn't done much in a few years but if he signs to fight with Adonis Stevenson and wins....guess who suddenly becomes the #1 contender to Froch's belt?

The fight was pretty bad granted and would have been hard to score, however Froch was the aggressor all night, Dirrell was on his bike all night and everytime they closed up Dirrell would hold on or drop to his knee's. I was at the fight, it was pathetic.

Ok it wasn't vintage from Froch and he spent a lot of the fight swinging and missing, but there was nothing from Dirrell to suggest he deserved the decision.

I get so wound up about people ****ing on about "homecooked decisions". The judges cannot take someones titles away if the challenger has been running and clinching all night. It stands to reason that if you go into a champions backyard, you have got to take the title away from him.

There was too much running and clinching (and falling down.) I won't argue that.

But Dirrell also hit Froch with more clean punches and combinations than Froch hit him with.
