In a close fight that doesn't always tell the full story. If the majority of those clean punches and combo come only in certain rounds and the other rounds he is being chased round the ring, then there will always be a contentious decision.
Going full circle back to the original topic. The first fight was awful which neither fighter can really look back upon with pride. However Dirrell will probably look back and think if only he came to fight a bit more, he could have pinched it (hence it should be Dirrell seeking redemption). Froch will probably not give it a second thought, he has a good (but probably short) future ahead of him and the thought of fighting Dirrell again does not figure in those plans and neither should it. Some boxing careers are too short to be thinking about beating people "better".
