I agree with Steward. The only fights when Cotto fought different was against Mayorga and Foreman when Steward trained him....now his back with his head low and his weird dancing footwork....I ike Pedro Diaz but Steward was better trainer for Cotto imo

Dude, Stewart said Cotto should have boxed more against Floyd. Do you have a clue how detrimental that would have been??

Floyd came through, I was very impressed.”

Lol I thought cotto had the perfect gameplan, used his jab very well and applied lots of pressure, he could have used his right hand more after setting up with those jabs but overall he looked better with Diaz then he did with steward.
I would hardly say he had the perfect game plan to beat Mayweather and that he used his jab very well.

That would depend on how he fought, he could have still been aggressive but been a bit smarter about it and worked on avoiding Mayweathers counter right.

Cotto fought a great fight. To me the fight was dead even entering the 9th. (I had Cotto up a round) actually. But the problem with Cotto that no trainer has fixed is his stamina. He allowed Floyd to sweep the last 4. Regardless, it was clear Cotto wasn't going to get any credit for anything he did anyway. I do know that if he tried to box more he would have been picked apart.

how is he overrated? hearns, lennox, wladimir all were at their best under him & are all HOF's after he trained them...he led oliver mccall to his upset of lennox too then left him to train lennox...most trainers don't have 1 HOFer they led to glory...he has 3

Why, because they're both pr?? I think everyone is giving Diaz a lot of credit just because of how humble of a trainer he is.
