Oh I don't care about him ducking GG, I guess my guy is also. That wasn't the point, but sets the scene nicely, gives a bit of context (check the timeline). And it wasnt for the mandatory slot, it was for interim belt, HNN wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm not gonna defend Pirog anymore, I just wanted to bring up this sordid tale. It's actually really ingenious.

Eh, I'll give Pirog the benefit of the doubt. Shit happens. But yeah, but he can't really be complaining about not getting the big fights anymore. After two years since the Jacobs win, he hasn't done anything bolster his case.

Was looking forward to this fight, an obvious duck by Pirog I feel.

Somebody needs to fight Golovkin, hes one of the best kept secrets in the business.

I'll wait until I know more about the injury and if a doctor confirmed it before I comment on this. This is the year of cancelled fights...

He got injured and wanted to reschedule the fight, THEN N'Dam pulled out. get your facts straight.

WBA orders purse bid on Feb 2 for reg champ Golovkin vs interim champ NDam, for the 3rd (?) time. NDam no show again, loses interim belt
NDam offers fight to WBO champ Pirog in Equatorial Guinea for April
Pirog claims injury, will be ready may 1 to fight HNN or whoever is WBO mandatory. Working on Aug hbo date
HNN cant wait, has stadium booked in Equatorial Guinea. Will fight wbo 2 for interim belt
Pirog defends on May 1, HNN wins interim belt 3 days later, in France
NDam wants a shot at full champ by sept, been waiting too long
Stop wasting your time, haters don't deal with facts.

                "until a doctor confirms it"?

Come on now, its not hard to get a doctor to come out and say such thing. Peterson did it (which didn't help him) and so did BHop after the Dawson fight.

The guy seems to "injure" himself before every big fight or step up in opposition, however you wanna call it.

True. The only way we have to be sure about it is to see what will be his next move.

he's 32 years old and he rarely fights

it's certainly not outside of the realm of possibility that he's getting injured in training because of his long stretches of inactivity

do i think pirog himself is scared?
of course not. he's probably very confident in his abilities.

is it possible that he or his people have fabricated the injury for economic reasons?
                      sure
                      that's possible.
