damn I was really looking forward to this.

If Pirog isn't hurt, I don't understand why he would be so loyal to the WBO. Who cares about that weak ass title anyway when all the big names have other belts? Beating Golovkin would obviously give him a higher ranking and a higher chance of fighting any of the big names.

whatever though, time will tell us what really went down.

I was looking forward to that fight card on HBO. It's been that kind of year. This has been a bad year for boxing.

This is the second time he pulled the injury card before a big fight and it is even more suspect this time because it came right after they announced the date of the fight. There are no coincidences here.

Exactly what I was thinking 2012 has been a disaster, I wont believe JR. vs Martinez happens until they're both in the ring with buffer announcing their names

I can't really explain it ... but I once heard on a HBO story years ago, that it helps with your power (maybe a Pavlik fight since he was doing that exercise with his old trainer) but who the hell knows

I don't want to assume he b1tched out so I will not jump to conclusions until everything is confirmed. Such a disappointment either way. 2012 sucks. LOL

The infamous back injury. Undetectable and best excuse to get out of a fight. I smell a rat

Peter Quillan, Martin Murray or Miguel Cotto (who is moving up to 160) woulds be suitable replacements.

Gennady is a small middleweight who says he can make 154, so why not Golovkin vs. Canelo?
