It wasn't a conflict between promoters and dates. He was offered the same date that he just fought on. RUSSELL declined, not FRANCO! He didn't want to fight on a Gary Shaw card was his lame excuse. It is known that Russell withdrew for unspecified reasons and then used the Shaw excuse. He would have been in position for a title!!!!
