nah id say hes in descent position considering his career is winding down! obviously he could be in a little better position. But not too bad. Get his belt back, fight for yet another controversy, or go for broke against floyd. Either way i say he only gots 2 fights left. If he wins his next fight. Which i think he will, unless its against mayw, then imo who the hell knows.

I think his left hand is faster than Cotto's jab, but still the application of the two punches are totally different. We're talking about getting jabbed in the face with a lead hand vs a power hand, which naturally will have a lot more tells and hints that the punch is coming than a jab. Mayweather doesn't even to stand in front of him like that because of his reach advantage, and Pacquiao is prone to over extending anyways.

Sorry my man. No power punch is faster than a jab.

A jab requires no set up. It is a probing tool that snaps out and retracts.

Manny has to throw two jabs just to set up the straight left.

If Pac's straight left was faster than his jab, there would be no need for the set up.

I think what you guys mean is that Pac's straight left is more explosive, but certainly not faster.

Yeah you're right. Just out smarted myself trying to think too much about that one. Also you can jab from so many angles, throw two or three in there etc...

how does cotto landing a jab =manny landing power shots?

I agree. I have zero interest in watching Pacquiao fight another B-C level fighter or elite fighter at a disadvantage. Either he mans up and faces Floyd, or retires and becomes a priest like he thinks he is now.

Paq is in a bad position how? A Bardley rematch will bring in close to 2M. Marques 4 will probably do the same. Paq can choose any one of these fights and he will be okay. I mean who is he going to fight? Paq had expressed his intention to fight Floyd. Mayweahter on the other hand just pretends he wants it. Floyd's next move will most likely be that his offer has expired.

                    Much ado about nothing.
